Our operation depends on equipment that performs flawlessly. As our Bakery Equipment Maintenance & Automation Specialist, you’ll protect uptime, champion preventative maintenance, and ensure every task aligns with OSHA, GMP, HACCP, and sanitation standards.

Your mission

• Maintain, optimize, and repair bakery production equipment—mixers, ovens, proofers, conveyors, slicers, and automated packaging systems.
• Tackle tough troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical (including PLCs), pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Design and drive preventative maintenance programs that lengthen asset life and cut downtime.
• Resolve facility issues involving HVAC, plumbing, and electrical infrastructure.
• Respond with urgency to equipment failures and implement long-term corrective actions.
• Support installation, commissioning, and precise calibration of new equipment and full production lines.
• Maintain accurate CMMS records for all work, inventory usage, and findings.
• Partner with production and leadership to elevate reliability, safety, and throughput.
• Provide mentorship to junior technicians and set high standards for craftsmanship.
• Coordinate specialized repairs and services with external vendors and contractors.

What sets you up for success

• High school diploma or GED; technical or vocational certification strongly preferred.
• 5–7 years of maintenance experience in bakery, food manufacturing, or industrial production.
• Familiarity with bakery machinery and automated systems preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical (PLCs), pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and OEM manuals.
• Experience with CMMS-driven maintenance programs.
• Understanding of GMP and HACCP requirements.
