Communications Coordinator

As a CBRE Communications Coordinator, you will provide day-to-day coordination and communications support in a training facility to help ensure a strong trainee experience. You will consult with internal partners and outside vendors to create written and visual communication plans. This job is part of the Communications job function. They are responsible for developing internal and external communications that are related to organizational values, strategy, and performance. The role is 100% on-site (Monday-Friday) and is highly hands-on, requiring someone who is responsive, organized, comfortable interacting with trainees and trainers, and able to quickly coordinate requests between the training facility and client.

Responsibilities include:

• Building relationships with participants and trainers to monitor program sentiment, capture compelling success stories, and prepare individuals for speaking engagements.
• Drafting and editing internal and external communication including presentations, email memos, etc. Pitching stories and providing management support for media interview prep.
• Cultivating content for social media channels, tracking, and reporting on outcomes and engagement.
• Managing and tracking media databases and coverage.
• Serving as the on-site point of contact for guests and leadership, managing facility tours, coordinating schedules, and troubleshooting any last-minute needs.
• Ensuring successful training program graduations by assisting with event logistics, speaker preparation, etc.
• Conducting background research and content development for speeches and presentations.
• Receiving and reviewing confidential information and developing executive messaging.
• Assisting management with advanced administrative needs.
• Collaborating with management and communication teams to understand project outcomes and needs. Helping with complex projects and PR strategies.
• Maintaining knowledge of trends, developments, and best practices within the communications space.
• Applying general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
• Having a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
• Leading by example and modeling behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. May convince to reach an agreement.
• Impacting the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.
• Working primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
• Explaining complex information to others in straightforward situations.

Requirements include:

• Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
• Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
