Occupational Therapist

Baptist Medical Center hiring an Occupational Therapist to join our Acute Care Rehab Team at our Baptist South campus, located in the Mandarin area of Jacksonville, Florida. This is a PRN position which will provide coverage for at least 3 Day shifts per month and participate in a weekend coverage rotation. The Occupational Therapist will support the Rehab Team by working with a multidisciplinary team in an acute care setting. Caseload includes various diagnoses - neurological, orthopedic, cardiac, and general medical. Job Responsibilities: Evaluates and treats patients in an adult acute care setting. Provides minimal outpatient care, mainly for neuro patients and upper extremity wounds (job competency training available). Works in a team environment with other Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists. Provides ongoing patient and family education. Works with multidisciplinary teams outside of Rehab Services (hospitalists, physician specialists, nursing, and social services.) Experience Requirements: 1 or more years of Acute Care Occupational Therapist experience strongly preferred Education & Credential Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy Required Licensed Occupational Therapist from FL Department of Health Required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association Required Baptist South is serving the rapidly growing neighborhoods in southern Duval and northern St. Johns counties.
