About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President, Assistant General Counsel with a focus on commercial and technology transactions. This senior leadership role is pivotal, serving as a deputy to a senior legal executive and providing key advisory support on a wide range of commercial and strategic matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading high-value commercial and technology transactions, including strategic partnerships, licensing, advertising, and vendor agreements. Additionally, the role involves advising senior stakeholders across product, technology, and business teams, as well as managing and developing a team that supports commercial legal matters. Candidates for this position should have a minimum of 15 years' legal experience, with a strong background in commercial and technology transactions, ideally with top law firm training. Significant in-house experience with a proven track record of managing and developing legal teams is essential. The role requires the ability to handle complex, high-stakes transactions and provide strategic advice on emerging legal, regulatory, and technology-related risks. Exposure to media, technology, or digital platforms is a plus. The ideal candidate will be a trusted advisor, capable of cross-functional collaboration, and ready to take on the challenges of a dynamic, fast-paced organization.
