About the job Remote | Scientific Diagram & Document Review Consultant - Up to $40/hour We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for professionals experienced in physics, chemistry, biology, scientific documentation, diagram interpretation, research materials review, instruction-based task design, and structured evaluation. This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on AI-assisted review of science-related documents, diagrams, tables, charts, experimental materials, and technical visual content. Selected professionals will create complex evaluation tasks using applied science materials, define clear expected answers, and develop objective rubrics for assessing response accuracy, instruction alignment, and scientific understanding. Key Responsibilities Professionals in this role may contribute to: Scientific Task Development Create complex tasks based on scientific diagrams, research documents, lab-style materials, charts, tables, figures, and technical visual content Define clear ground-truth answers, acceptable response criteria, and objective evaluation standards Develop prompts that test scientific interpretation, concept application, information extraction, data review, and careful instruction following Ensure each task is clearly scoped, scientifically accurate, and suitable for structured review workflows Science Document & Diagram Review Evaluate AI-generated responses involving physics, chemistry, biology, experimental materials, visual figures, tables, charts, and technical documentation Assess whether responses correctly interpret labels, units, variables, experimental setups, biological processes, chemical relationships, physical systems, and document-specific instructions Identify missing details, incorrect interpretations, unsupported assumptions, weak scientific reasoning, or inconsistencies in the response Review outputs against objective rubrics and project-specific quality standards Rubric Design & Quality Control Develop clear rubrics that explain expected answers, grading criteria, and acceptable variations Provide structured written feedback on task quality, response accuracy, and evaluation consistency Apply detailed instructions carefully across physics, chemistry, biology, and document-based review tasks Participate in onboarding, calibration, or domain alignment activities when required Ideal Profile Strong candidates may have: Professional or academic experience in physics, chemistry, biology, applied sciences, laboratory research, science education, technical documentation, or related scientific review work Strong ability to interpret scientific diagrams, figures, tables, charts, experimental setups, research materials, and technical explanations Comfort working with precise instructions, objective criteria, and structured evaluation standards Strong written communication skills with the ability to explain task expectations and review decisions clearly High attention to detail when assessing scientific accuracy, completeness, and instruction alignment Ability to work independently in a remote, project-based environment Consistency across repetitive, detail-oriented review and rubric-based evaluation tasks Educational Background Academic or professional background in physics, chemistry, biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, environmental science, laboratory science, engineering science, science education, or a related field is highly relevant Experience with scientific figures, lab reports, experimental data, research papers, technical diagrams, charts, tables, or educational science materials may be especially valuable Training or professional experience involving scientific analysis, technical document review, laboratory workflows, research communication, or structured assessment is relevant Advanced academic, research, teaching, laboratory, analytical, or technical review
