Registered Nurse - Pre-Op/PACU

Shift: 10 hour shift with Tuesday off Responsibilities Assist patients in the preoperative area by preparing them physically and emotionally for surgery. Monitor vital signs and assess patients' condition to identify any changes requiring intervention. Provide postoperative care including monitoring for complications and managing pain effectively. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Educate patients and their families about postoperative care, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation to support care coordination. Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and hospital safety standards to promote a safe surgical environment. Respond promptly to emergencies and provide critical support in the perioperative setting. Requirements Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license and current certification. Strong knowledge of preoperative and postoperative nursing care practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support patient education and team collaboration. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented hospital environment. Proficiency in monitoring and managing patient vital signs and recognizing signs of distress. Commitment to upholding patient confidentiality and ethical nursing standards. Flexibility to work various shifts.
