Position Overview

The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing general ledger accounting and assisting in the preparation and presentation of monthly financial statements. This is a great opportunity for a stable Senior Accountant looking for an opportunity to move up in a relatively short period of time.\n

Responsibilities Of The Senior Accountant

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system.
\n
• Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files and reconciling accounts.
\n
• Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes if necessary.
\n
• Perform bank reconciliations.
\n
• Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
\n
• Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
\n
• Accomplish accounting and organizational objectives by completing related results as needed.
\n
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations.
\n
• Calculate monthly accruals.
\n
• Help prepare actual-to-budget and forecast variance analysis.

Required Experience/Skills For The Senior Accountant

\n

\n
• 3+ years of experience.
\n
• Public accounting experience.
\n
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs.

\n

Education Requirements

\n

\n
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting.
\n
• CPA preferred, not required.

\n
