Nurse Manager, Emergency Department (ED)

Location: Dallas, TX
Schedule: Full-Time | Days | No Weekends
Pay Rate: Starting $51.17/Hour (Scaled based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $20,000
Relocation: Case-by-case basis

We are seeking a highly experienced and metrics-driven Emergency Department Nurse Manager to lead daily operations within a high-volume, high-acuity adult ED. This leadership role oversees a 57-bed emergency department (41 beds + 16 hallway beds) and a team of 35 FTEs within a world-class tertiary care system.

• Provide daily operational and strategic leadership for the Emergency Department.

• Ensure alignment with hospital mission, clinical standards, and performance goals.

• Manage department budget, labor forecasting, and productivity targets.

• Lead and mentor a team of 35 FTEs including hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations.

• Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, and multidisciplinary hospital teams.

• Develop, implement, and evaluate evidence-based clinical policies and workflows.

• Serve as escalation point for operational, staffing, and patient care challenges.

• Drive quality improvement initiatives focused on throughput, safety, and efficiency.

• Maintain strong physician and interdepartmental working relationships.

• BSN required; MSN/MHA/MBA preferred.

• Active Texas RN license or Compact RN license.

• BLS required upon hire.

• ACLS & PALS required within 6 months.

• TNCC required within 18 months.

• ENPC or CEN required within 18 months.

• Minimum 5+ years of progressive acute care leadership experience.

• Recent Emergency Department clinical experience required.

• Strong background in staffing, budgeting, and physician collaboration.

• Demonstrated success in multi-disciplinary leadership and quality improvement.
