As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed in Chattanooga, TN , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.99 - $23.08 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and appropriate emergency response actions at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and restricted areas, verify credentials and/or permissions, and report unusual behavior, hazards, or policy violations through proper channels.
• Support Allied Universal standards by maintaining a professional presence, following post orders, and completing required reports related to daily activities, incidents, and/or inspections.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• An armed guard card/license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
