Business Development Officer

Brief Overview The Business Development Officer I (BDO) is accountable for identifying opportunities that deliver Texas Capital’s full suite of products and services to prospective clients that meet their financial needs. The role focuses on generating sales opportunities for the inset market banking teams by routinely making agenda-based calls for prospects, partnering with firm leaders to develop the sales strategy, and leading marketing efforts for these markets. Responsibilities Ensure appropriate prospect coverage through disciplined calling efforts, understanding the prospect’s strategic and financial objectives, and working across all TCB product partners to identify appropriate opportunities. Develop and maintain a robust prospect acquisition pipeline. Effectively transfer opportunities to Relationship Managers (RM) while engaging in the TCB Sales Excellence process. Maintain production goals and calling metrics. Stay current on financial markets, products, regulations, and business trends. Surface issues and provide feedback for visibility and resolution. Adhere to risk and compliance program requirements, making sound risk decisions aligned with the business unit’s appetite. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field. Minimum of three years commercial banking experience with a focus on middle market and corporate clients. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Salesforce and MS Office (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems.
