Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments and determine the mental health status of clients in individual counseling sessions.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices tailored to each client's unique needs.

• Provide ongoing therapeutic support through regular virtual meetings, employing tools and strategies to help clients overcome personal challenges.

• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, such as psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure a well-rounded approach to client care.

• Document treatment progress and updates in a timely manner using our EHR systems, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

• Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and discussions to empower clients with knowledge and coping mechanisms applicable to everyday life.

• Maintain professional boundaries and uphold ethical standards in all interactions with clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients are individuals grappling with a variety of mental health issues including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety disorders, substance use disorders, and eating disorders. As a counselor, you will interact with a diverse patient demographic that reflects the multifaceted nature of Buffalo’s community. Qualifications\n

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current, valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.
\n
• Minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience in the mental health field.
\n
• Strong understanding of mental health disorders and effective evidence-based treatment methodologies.

• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build rapport with a broad spectrum of individuals.

• Proficiency in managing electronic health record systems and utilizing technology for case management.
\n
• Commitment to ethical practice, professional development, and maintaining client confidentiality.

Compensation and Benefits\n
