Phlebotomist

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Santa Ana, CA at 1301 E. 17th St., Santa Ana, CA. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 1:00 pm and rotating Saturdays. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Carry out administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. California state‑issued Phlebotomy license (CPT). Preferred Qualifications One year or more of experience as a phlebotomist. Current or prior experience at LabCorp. Additional Job Standards In lieu of state license requirement, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire may meet the license requirement. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English. Able to pass a standardized color‑blindness test. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Exceptional customer service. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Pay Range: $23.00 – $33.00 per hour. QUARTERLY INCENTIVE BONUS PROGRAM: Phlebotomists may be eligible to participate in the Phlebotomy Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics. Benefits: Employees scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours, casual, intern and temporary employees are eligible to participate only in the 401(k) Plan. Employees scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible for all foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
