Phlebotomist

Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED or equivalent. California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT). Preferred Qualifications 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist. Current or prior experience at LabCorp. 1 year or more experience with geriatric and pediatric patients. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English. Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Exceptional customer service skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Additional Job Standards In lieu of the state license requirement, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at the time of hire may meet the license requirement. Benefits Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees scheduled less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees scheduled a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO. Pay Range $21.00 - $33.00 per hour. Additional Compensation QUARTERLY INCENTIVE BONUS PROGRAM: PSTs may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, providing a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
