OB/GYN Physician Job Requirements

• Board certification in Obstetrics & Gynecology required
• Active North Carolina medical license required
• Active North Carolina DEA with a North Carolina address required
• North Carolina Medicaid credentialing required
• PECOS enrollment required
• Fully vaccinated status required
• Recent hands-on obstetrics and gynecology experience required; at least 1 year of experience preferred if not already established
• Must be actively delivering babies and able to provide recent case logs
• Case logs from the past 12 months required; 24 months preferred for review
• No recent or open malpractice cases; all disciplinary history must be disclosed
• Must be within 20 minutes of the facility per bylaws
• Comfort with low-risk pregnancy care, routine and complicated deliveries, and emergent gynecologic procedures

Locum Tenens Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour locum tenens OB/GYN coverage and respond to emergent calls
• Attend emergent C-sections, vaginal deliveries, and labor management needs
• Evaluate and manage low-risk pregnancies and laboring patients
• Perform and interpret OB ultrasounds, including screening and targeted studies as needed
• Manage routine, complicated, breech, multiple gestation, abruption, and VBAC deliveries
• Perform repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
• Provide office and minor gynecology care such as IUD procedures, colposcopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP support
• Perform surgical gynecology procedures, including open, laparoscopic, and major operative cases as indicated
• Support emergent GYN procedures and stabilize high-risk obstetric cases until transfer when needed
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, efficient patient care
