Registered Nurse - MICU

Shift: 12-hour shifts available: Nights: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Schedule: Every other weekend required. Floating to other units within the OSU organization may be required based on need. Requirements: Active RN experience in ICU/MICU required. Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS EMR: Epic Unit Details: Patient population: Adults Nurse-to-patient ratio: 2:1 Scrub color: Navy Blue Common Skills & Responsibilities: Ventilator management, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, IV sedation, neuromuscular blockade, arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, blood product administration, CRRT, dysrhythmia interpretation, 12-lead EKGs, hypothermia protocol, stroke and neuro care, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, ABGs, wound vacs, isolation precautions, and infection prevention. Equipment Used: NxStage CRRT, Alaris IV pumps, GE cardiac monitors, GE ventilators, patient room lifts, and externalized IV pumps for COVID-positive patients. Support Services: IV team, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response team, transportation, unit secretary, interpretation services, NP, anesthesiology, and CRNA support. Parking Options for Travelers WMC Agency Permit - $215/month Guaranteed parking in an OSUWMC visitor garage. Best option for travelers who want the closest and most reliable parking. CXS Permit - $31.42/month Includes shuttle service every 15-30 minutes, but service is limited. The route has multiple stops and drops off about a street over from OSUWMC. Best suited for Jameson Crane Sports Medicine. Also includes access to 9th Ave Garages (East and West) on weekends and holidays. WB Permit - $15.67/month Most affordable option. Parking is in West Campus Carmack Lots 2 and 3, about 1.7 miles from OSUWMC. The Pink shuttle runs every 3-5 minutes during peak start/end times and goes directly to the medical center in about 8-9 minutes. Also includes access to 9th Ave Garages (East and West) on weekends and holidays. Weekend access is from Friday at 2 PM through Monday at 8 AM; outside those hours, regular hourly garage rates apply.
