Please recruit based off of the January 2027 start for now and if we need help sooner we will reach out. Provider Type: MD/DO Specialty: Cardiology Specifically EP FTE needed: 1.0 Daily Shift Standard 8hr or 12hr: 8 hours Expected duration of assignment: Current approval is for a 6-month assignment with the potential need to extend for 3 months Reason for opening: Gap in coverage Cost Center: 800.3411.2085 Schedule /Shift hours: 8-hour shifts for 3-4 days of clinic followed by adjacent weekend call 1-2x/month. Weekend EP call from 5pm-7am will be required as well. We would be looking for a locum to offer this coverage for 2 weeks a month. We may add some EP lab days for the right candidate. Type of privileges clinic/hospital/both: Both Setting: Inpatient Outpatient or Both: Both If Inpatient # of beds: 388 Call requirement Weekend EP Call - Telephone call after 5pm Rounding and inpatient pacemaker implantation Sat/Sun 7am-5pm ~ 5 hours/ day Rounding admissions or none? Both Patient demographics: Geriatric and 50 y.o. Average patients per day: 3-4 Required Procedures: Inpatient pacemaker implantation DCCV Cardioversion Required clinical activity in the last 24 months case logs Applicant must be able to demonstrate active cardiology practice reflective of the scope of privileges requested for at least 100 inpatients in the past 24 months in an accredited hospital or healthcare facility or demonstrate successful completion of a hospital-affiliated accredited residency special clinical fellowship or research within the past 24 months. Additionally for EP: Applicant must provide documentation of performance of electrophysiology cases 30 cases representative of the scope and complexity of privileges requested during the previous 24 months applicants who completed fellowship training in electrophysiology during the previous year must provide a training log. If ablation privileges are requested the total number of cases must include the performance of a minimum of 30 ablation cases in the previous year. Will provider work solo? If not other providers specialties working with them: Interventional and General Cardiology will be on call as well on the weekends. Licensed Candidate: Yes/No - Yes Required certifications Must be from American Heart Association or American Red Cross as applicable: BLS/ACLS / Board Certification Cardiac Electrophysiology.
