Oncology/Chemo Pharmacist – Contract Opportunity | Houston, TX

We are seeking an experienced Oncology/Chemo Pharmacist to join a large, nationally recognized 500+ bed acute care hospital in Houston. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist with strong inpatient and oncology experience to make an immediate impact on patient care.

Assignment Details
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 13+ weeks (Potential for Temp-to-Hire)
Schedule: Day Shifts

Key Responsibilities

Participate in multidisciplinary patient care rounds and collaborate with healthcare teams.
Provide clinical recommendations and medication intervention strategies.
Develop and maintain oncology treatment protocols within Epic/Epic Beacon.
Support transitions of care by coordinating with outpatient oncology pharmacy teams.
Review and submit non-formulary medication requests.
Coordinate specialty medications and ensure timely patient access to therapy.
Promote safe, effective, and evidence-based medication use for oncology patients.

Qualifications

Active Texas Pharmacist License required.
Texas IV Certification required.
Minimum of 3 years of inpatient pharmacy experience.
Oncology pharmacy experience required.
Experience with Epic; Epic Beacon experience strongly preferred.
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
