Pastry Chef De Partie
Protg seeks a motivated full-time PM pastry chef de partie to join our brigade. We are a Michelin-starred, upscale-casual restaurant located in Palo Alto. Our culture fosters genuine hospitality, professional growth, and we place enormous value on teamwork, professionalism and personal respect.
This role involves working alongside our pastry chef to produce an ambitious assortment of desserts, pies, tarts, mignardises and conceptualized plates for our seasonally driven a la carte dessert trolley, ice cream program and 7-course tasting menu. As such, a commanding knowledge, or motivation to gain knowledge of, pastry production/service, ice cream and sorbet production, tart and pie doughs, etc. is encouraged. This position is ideal for someone highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently while maintaining high standards and a clean workspace. We are looking for the right attitude, not necessarily experience level or ability. We are here to mentor, teach, train and ensure success.
The ideal candidate will have at least one year of professional kitchen experience, but as our name implies, we're looking for individuals who we can mentor and help to reach their full potential. A passion for learning and the desire to grow is essential! We are looking for a positive attitude, desire to learn, passion for our craft and a sense of urgency-we can teach you the rest!
- 2 consecutive days off weekly (closed Sunday and Monday)
