Senior Art Director

Senior Art Director position in Santa Monica, CA with hybrid in-office and remote work, offering USD 100,000 to 110,000 per year. Responsibilities Serve as a hands-on art director, crafting original visuals in collaboration with copywriters Collaborate with copywriters on brand and concept development, from the big idea to execution Own assigned brands by proactively generating fresh ideas and advancing the creative direction Conceptualize and design across digital, print, and social channels, with proven ability to craft short-form social content Work with teams to implement brand mandatories while pushing creative boundaries Infuse every assignment with conceptual creativity, thinking abstractly and connecting unexpected ideas in brainstorming sessions Rapidly learn and apply industry, product, and technical knowledge relevant to the client and agency landscape Collaborate closely with UX, Technology, and CX teams Lead tactical ideation, creation, and execution of original content across platforms Maintain creative integrity by guiding content through regulatory and MLR processes, leveraging medical expertise as needed Requirements 3-4 years of pharma agency experience A portfolio demonstrating strong conceptual thinking, design craft, and idea development Proven experience concepting and designing social content with an understanding of platform-specific best practices Confidence presenting ideas and collaborating across disciplines Curiosity, adaptability, and a passion for creating work that resonates Benefits Competitive compensation package Health benefits (Medical, Dental and Vision) Company match 401k Flexible paid time off (PTO) and sick time Description Ready to turn science into something visually unforgettable? As a Sr. Art Director at GSW Santa Monica, you’ll be responsible for concepting, art directing, and presenting creative work across assigned accounts. You’ll partner closely with copywriters on brand and concept development, provide support to ACDs and CDs within the Core Brand Team, and play a hands-on role in bringing smart, compelling ideas to life. You are both a thinker and a doer-equally comfortable crafting breakthrough concepts, designing compelling visuals across channels (including social), and confidently presenting ideas internally and to clients. This is a hybrid role for candidates in the Los Angeles area (2 days/week in our Santa Monica office). We are also open to remote candidates located on the West Coast.
