Description

American Traveler is seeking an Emergency Department RN for a Level III trauma center offering night shifts and requiring at least 2 years of recent ED experience.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital with 108 staff beds
• Level III trauma center Emergency Department
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Every other weekend required
• No floating between units required
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact license must be in hand at time of submission)
• OR RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC (NIHSS preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Proficient in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central line care/management
• Experience with continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressors
• Skilled in BiPAP/CPAP management and ABG interpretation
• Experience caring for ventilated patients
• Knowledge of isolation precautions/PPE and triage protocols
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer requests may not be granted
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
• Scrubs provided for ED staff, any color accepted
• No parking fees at this facility
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month wait if outside the 50-mile radius
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility as permanent, travel, or per-diem staff
