Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 12-Hour Shifts | Onsite | Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical and Pediatrics unit, caring exclusively for adult patients (travelers do not take pediatric patients)
• Manage a diverse adult patient population including those with respiratory illnesses, stroke, neurological conditions, gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, sepsis, wound care, and acute alcohol withdrawal
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:6–7 on night shifts, delivering safe and timely care throughout the shift
• Float to all inpatient units as needed based on census and staffing requirements
• Accurately document all patient care activities using EPIC electronic health record system
• Collaborate with team members and ancillary staff to ensure the best possible patient experience, adapting to changes that may occur throughout a shift

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or ARC
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
• Ability to work every other weekend and every other holiday
• Compliance with facility health and safety policies, including applicable masking requirements during flu season

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Trauma Level II experience highly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and adapt positively to frequent changes during a shift
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with a willingness to ask questions and engage with interdisciplinary teams
