Cactus Wellhead - Inside Sales Intern

This is a Cactus Wellhead position and is located in Houston, TX. Full time in office role - Houston office Looking for a fresh college graduate for this role. Job Summary Responsible for analyzing customer product needs and obtaining orders for Surface Wellhead equipment/systems—coordinate successful product releases within established standards and priorities. This position will sit at corporate and will support their assigned branch or branches. Essential Functions, Roles, and Responsibilities Essential duties and responsibilities include the following: Practice safe work habits and comply with all quality, safety, health, and environmental policies, procedures, programs, and regulations. Promptly enter sales orders in Syteline. Perform same-day source planning on hook up and/or additional customer requirements. Ensure the accuracy of open sales orders (commercial and technical), published customer discounts or net pricing, and that orders do not contain obsolete or invalid part numbers and customer requirements. Prepare daily reports and monitor dates according to actual customer requirements using the most recent information available. Establish strategic relationships with new and existing customers. Provide management reports on sales activity, sales forecasts, and other quantifiable sales objective measurements. Seek and identify substitutions for quoted equipment, not on hand/inventory. Utilize excess or slow-moving inventory within standard operating procedures. Effectively manage and utilize customer property within customer requirements. Communicate changes and/or cancellations to customer requirements and delivery issues to supply chain and Supervisor. Maintain rig board to allow visibility of current customer requirements by active rig, equipment type, state of preparedness, and expected ship date. Proactively pursue compensation for expediting charges incurred through sales before manufacturing or shipping Participate in regularly scheduled meetings. Ensure and secure adequate and proper backup parts and equipment on service jobs and communicate accurate information to the Service Department Provide input and assistance to other functional areas to improve processes and customer satisfaction levels. Keep abreast of new products, specifications, industry trends, competitor strengths, and weaknesses. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree or four to six years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Will include up to 25% travel, based on business needs Working knowledge of drilling/production and equipment Intermediate Computer Skills Intermediate Language Skills, Intermediate Mathematical Skills, and Intermediate Reasoning Ability Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Physical Demands Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; stand, walk and sit; talk and hear. Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 40 pounds. Ability to clearly hear voices or alarms, bells, and other noise. Work Environment Normally work in an office environment; however, occasionally may work in assembly areas and field service machine shop. Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. Regularly exposed to wet and humid conditions (outside weather conditions); high, precarious places; extreme cold; extreme heat and vibration. Occasionally exposed to toxic and caustic chemicals; risk of radiation or electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
