Overview
Registered Nurse – Med Surg, Rome, NY, United States. Start date 08/10/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,264 per week to $2,334 per week with guaranteed hours of 36. Shift: 3x12-hour days. Travel assignment in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care for Med Surg patients, including telemetry monitoring
- Administer medications and manage cardiac drips as ordered; perform accurate IV therapy and phlebotomy as needed
- Read and interpret EKG strips; respond to changes in patient status with appropriate actions
- Perform wound care, dressing changes, and promote infection control best practices
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team; document care in the electronic medical record; ensure patient safety and quality outcomes
- Float to step-down units as required; adhere to unit protocols and patient-to-nurse ratios (1:5)

Requirements
- Active New York State Registered Nurse license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- NIH Stroke Certification required prior to start
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Med Surg/Telemetry (travel experience preferred)
- Strong IV skills, ability to read EKG strips, confident with cardiac drips
- Ability to float to Med Surg/step-down and work in a hospital setting
- Flu vaccine or declination accepted; facility orientation may include additional CEUs (8 hours)
