Overview As a Senior Associate,you will work with a wide range of clients, including corporate, association, nonprofit and issue advocacy, and support the work of the firm to create deliverables that are creative, strong, and will help meet clients’ goals. Responsibilities A Senior Associate’s job responsibilities include: Crafting communications materials including pitches, press releases, presentations, communications plans, messaging, and social media content. Taking ownership of various research projects that will inform client work. Developing booker, producer, and reporter relationships. Securing and managing coverage in local and national print and broadcast outlets. Building media lists. Media monitoring, including broadcast, print,onlineand digital. Leading the development of client call meeting agendas and notes to ensure accuracy and strategic focus. Tracking client deliverables and timelines. Clearly communicating with clients and account teams. Brainstorming executable ideas to promote clients’ interests. Qualifications A successful candidate will have: 2-4 years of relevant experience in writing, research, and media-intensive positions such as political campaigns, in media, government, agency, or similar organizations. Experience placing national print and broadcaststories,experience with diverse press is a plus. Strong writing and research skills with thorough knowledge of AP Style. A working knowledge of social media strategies for communications campaigns. Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. The ability to effectively manage multiple projects and handle competing deadlines. A bachelor\'s degree with a preference in public relations, communications, political science, or public policy. Benefits SKDK is committed topayequity. SKDK believes the target base compensation in this role is $70,000-$78,000. In addition to base salary, SKDK considers other key components as part of total compensation, including but not limited to an annual discretionary bonus, commission on new business, and a comprehensive benefits package. Actual base compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors, such asskillset, level of experience, and location.
