Senior Staff AccountantChino, CA 91710OverviewSalary Range $70,304.00 - $80,000.00 Salary/year Position Type Full Time Job Shift DayDescriptionThe Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the organization's financial operations through general accounting functions, financial reporting, and analysis. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial data, supports month-end and year-end close processes, and collaborates with the Finance team to deliver timely and accurate financial information.Positions SpecificationsMaintain and reconcile general ledger accounts across multiple entitiesPrepare and analyze internal and external financial statementsPerform month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis (AR, AP, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, cost centers, and departmental expenses)Conduct bank reconciliations and assist with weekly cash flow reportingSupport accounts payable and receivable functionsAssist in budgeting and forecasting processesDevelop, improve, and implement accounting procedures and internal controlsAnalyze financial data and prepare reports using spreadsheets and financial systemsCoordinate tax-related activities, including 1099 filings, property taxes, and other corporate filingsPartner with external tax advisors to ensure timely tax payments and complianceMaintain and review insurance documentation to ensure proper coverageAssist with payroll-related accounting functions as neededSupport process improvements, including automation of accounts payable and credit card transactionsRespond to internal and external financial inquiriesPerform additional duties and special projects as assignedQualificationsRequired Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)Minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience (required)Examples include general ledger accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close processesExperience in a healthcare or multi-entity environment (preferred)Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools (required)Skills & CompetenciesStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trendsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectivelyStrong organizational skills with high attention to detailAbility to adapt in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlinesProactive mindset with the ability to take initiative and problem-solveAbility to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partnersProfessional, reliable, and self-motivatedWork EnvironmentThis role operates in a professional corporate healthcare environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing systems.Physical DemandsProlonged periods of sitting and working on a computerFrequent use of hands for typing and office tasksOccasional bending, kneeling, or lifting up to 25 poundsAbility to manage multiple tasks and maintain organization in a fast-paced environmentPosition Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time, exempt position.
