We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support daily financial operations for a growing team in Tempe, Arizona. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent position is ideal for someone who enjoys maintaining accurate records, managing core accounting activities, and keeping financial data organized and current. The right candidate will bring hands-on experience with QuickBooks and a strong understanding of payables, receivables, and account reconciliation.

Responsibilities:
• Record and maintain day-to-day financial transactions with accuracy and consistency in the company’s accounting records.
• Process vendor invoices, schedule payments, and monitor outstanding obligations to support timely accounts payable operations.
• Prepare customer invoicing, post incoming payments, and follow up on open balances to keep accounts receivable current.
• Reconcile bank statements and internal financial records to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate reporting.
• Use QuickBooks to enter, update, and organize accounting information for routine bookkeeping activities.
• Review financial data for completeness and resolve inconsistencies that could affect ledger accuracy.
• Assist with maintaining orderly documentation and supporting materials for accounting and audit readiness.• Proven experience performing bookkeeping duties in a business environment.
• Hands-on proficiency with QuickBooks for daily accounting and recordkeeping tasks.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable processes, including invoice review and payment tracking.
• Familiarity with accounts receivable functions such as billing, cash application, and balance follow-up.
• Experience completing bank reconciliations and investigating variances in financial records.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage financial information with a high degree of accuracy.
• Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
