This hands-on role is perfect for someone with manual lathe experience who enjoys precision work, repairs, and steady hours in a stable shop environment. Location: Blaine, MN Hours: Monday Friday | 6:00 am 2:30 pm (Alternative 7:00 am 3:30 pm schedule available Monday Thursday) Pay: $30 - $36/hr., depending on qualifications Benefits of the manual machinist: Health and dental insurance with full benefits package Paid holidays and vacation time 401K with company match Stable shop with long-term customers Friendly team environment Room for advancement Duties of the manual machinist: Repair steel or aluminum cores using manual lathes Review blueprints and job orders to determine tooling and cutting instructions Calculate machine speed, feed ratios, and the size/position of cuts Mount, install, align, and secure tooling using hand tools and precision equipment Measure parts accurately with micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools Requirements of the manual machinist: 3+ years of machinist experience (with at least 2-3 years specific to manual lathes) Strong mathematical skills and proficiency in blueprint reading Experience with precision measuring tools and machine setups; welding is a plus Steel-toed boots or shoes are required Additional information: Apply today!
