Mill Machinist

CNC Mill and Laser Machine OperatorWe are seeking a skilled CNC Mill and Laser Machine Operator to set up and operate our 3-axis Haas CNC mill. The successful candidate will work with Haas Control from start to finish, including fixturing, tooling, work and tool offsets, and program prove-out. You will be responsible for making G+M edits to adjust feeds and speeds, running production while maintaining precision, and conducting first-article and in-process inspections using micrometers and calipers. Additionally, you will troubleshoot machine and process issues, handle routine maintenance, and keep your area organized while communicating job status to leadership.ResponsibilitiesSet up 3-axis Haas CNC mill with Haas Control, including fixturing, tooling, work and tool offsets, and program prove-out.Make G+M edits to adjust feeds and speeds.Run production and ensure precision with ±.005" tolerance.Conduct first-article and in-process inspections using micrometers and calipers.Troubleshoot machine and process issues to maintain workflow.Perform routine machine maintenance and keep the work area clean and organized.Communicate job status to leadership on the shop floor.Essential SkillsProficiency in reading blueprints and mechanical assembly.Experience with laser operation and machine setup.Skillful in using micrometers, calipers, and conducting inspections.Strong troubleshooting abilities for machine and process issues.Ability to read and interpret blueprints for laser cutting.Additional Skills & Qualifications2+ years of experience in setting up and operating CNC Mills.Excellent attendance record.Positive attitude and strong work ethic.Willingness to learn and be trained.Why Work Here?Enjoy exceptional benefits and PTO, along with a raise once permanent. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
