Production Test Technician

Production Test TechnicianWe're looking for a hands-on Production Test Technician to help bring our autonomous vehicles to life by configuring, testing, and validating onboard computer and electronics assemblies. This role sits at the intersection of manufacturing, test, and engineering, and plays a key part in making sure our vehicle hardware is reliable, repeatable, and ready for real-world deployment.You'll prepare vehicle CPU boxes and other electronics for the field by flashing images and firmware, loading configuration files, running functional and acceptance tests, and documenting what you find along the way. You'll work closely with engineers to track down issues, capture clear diagnostics, and continuously improve our production and test processes as we scale.Role Details:Install and configure electronics assemblies for vehicle integrationIdentify, troubleshoot, and document software or hardware failures down to a component levelMaintain and improve test setups, checklists, and production documentationFollow instructions to flash OS images, firmware, and configuration files onto single board computers, microcontrollers, and networking hardwareCreate and follow defined test procedures utilizing in-house manual and automated test equipmentSupport inventory tracking, labeling, and version tracking of hardwareAbout You:At least 1 year of work experience in a test lab or manufacturing environmentElectronics assembly and repair: soldering, crimping, multimeter proficiency, reading schematics OR Strength in IT: Linux command line, network troubleshooting, imaging and configuring computersAbility to independently follow technical setup instructions, including installing operating systems, flashing microcontrollers, and troubleshooting common setup issuesStrong attention to process, with the ability to execute documented procedures and clearly record results, deviations, and failuresAbility to clearly communicate with electrical engineers, software engineers, and assembly teamsIn addition, it's nice (though not essential) if you have:Experience supporting fast-paced production for robotics, automotive, aerospace, or marine systemsExperience working with Linux-based systems (basic command line usage)Basic understanding of networking, serial interfaces, or embedded systemsExposure to hardware bring-up and/or test automationAbout Seasats:At Seasats, we're passionate about delivering maritime robotics solutions to redefine the maritime industry.
