Business Development Representative - Property Restoration

Description Restoration 1 of New Jersey | North & Central NJ Territory | Full-Time We rebuild homes and businesses after disaster strikes — water damage, mold, fire, smoke, and the reconstruction that follows. When a property owner has the worst day of their year, we’re the team that shows up, calms the chaos, and puts things back together. We’re looking for one more person to be the face of our company out in the field. This is a road-warrior role, not a desk job. You will spend your days driving across North and Central New Jersey building relationships with the people who refer restoration work: insurance agents, adjusters, plumbers, property managers, real estate professionals, facility directors, and local businesses. You’re not cold-calling from a cubicle. You’re shaking hands, dropping off lunch, learning people’s kids’ names, and becoming the first call they make when a pipe bursts at 2 AM. What you’ll actually do day-to-day Build and own a referral network across our North/Central NJ territory Visit insurance agencies, plumbing companies, property management offices, and commercial accounts in person — every week, on a route you build and maintain Follow up on inbound leads quickly and professionally Represent us at local BNI groups, chamber events, trade associations, and industry mixers Track every visit, contact, and opportunity in our CRM (we’ll train you) Hit weekly activity targets and monthly revenue goals Stay close to our production team so referral partners always get a great experience Requirements Who we’re looking for We are open to driven beginners. We don’t require restoration experience — we’ll teach you the industry. We’re hiring for character, work ethic, and how you carry yourself. Specifically: You’re mature, presentable, and a strong communicator — comfortable walking into any office cold and leaving with a relationship You’re self-motivated and structured. Nobody’s going to micromanage your day, and you don’t need them to You have a clean driving record and a valid NJ driver’s license You’re comfortable being out in the field 80%+ of the week You can pass a background check and drug screen Bonus (not required): experience in B2B sales, insurance, construction, plumbing, real estate, property management, or any role where you built referral relationships Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary + uncapped commission on closed jobs you source (top performers earn six figures) Company vehicle provided Full health, dental, and vision insurance Phone, laptop, and expense account — all tools provided Paid training and industry certifications (IICRC, Xactimate, and others) Paid time off and holidays Clear path to senior BD or sales management as we grow Schedule Monday–Friday, daytime hours Occasional evening networking events This role is in the field.
