Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive and thorough assessments of pediatric patients through physical examinations, detailed medical histories, and appropriate diagnostic tests to identify healthcare needs.
• Develop accurate and evidence-based diagnoses in collaboration with pediatricians and healthcare team members to design individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s unique circumstances.
• Prescribe medications and therapies in alignment with clinical guidelines and in consultation with supervising physicians, ensuring compliance with standards of care.
• Monitor patient progress through regular follow-up consultations, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize health outcomes.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding preventive care, management of health conditions, and promotion of healthy lifestyle choices.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals including nurses, specialists, and ancillary staff to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain meticulous and timely documentation of all patient encounters, diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes within the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Stay current with advancements in pediatric healthcare through ongoing professional development and participation in relevant training and conferences.
• Uphold the highest legal and ethical standards in patient care, ensuring confidentiality and informed consent at all times.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our ideal candidate will engage with a diverse pediatric population, ranging from newborns to adolescents, featuring a variety of health concerns including chronic illnesses, developmental disorders, and routine preventative care. Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or an equivalent advanced practice nursing degree.
• Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Pediatric Physician Assistant (PA-C), with an active state license to practice in Texas.
• A minimum of two years’ professional experience in pediatric healthcare, showcasing strong expertise in pediatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatments.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for effective collaboration with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Competence in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other healthcare software.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated experience as a Pediatric Advanced Practice Provider, with an understanding of evidence-based guidelines and standards relevant to pediatric medicine.
• Familiarity with pediatric subspecialties and their healthcare needs, equipping you to address varied clinical presentations effectively.
• Bilingual proficiency in languages commonly spoken within the patient population to enhance communication with diverse families.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from $131,000 to $150,000, commensurate with experience.
