Production Supervisor

Job Description We’re seeking a hands‑on, results‑driven Production Supervisor to lead a team of union hourly workers at our Tonawanda manufacturing facility. This role supports a high‑impact initiative for a Fortune100 company and plays a critical part in driving operational excellence, safety, and team performance across shifts. Responsibilities Team Leadership: Supervise, coach, and motivate a crew of union hourly employees to meet daily production goals while fostering a respectful and collaborative work environment. Shift Management: Oversee operations across assigned shifts, ensuring smooth handoffs, consistent output, and adherence to schedules. Safety & Compliance: Enforce OSHA standards and company safety protocols; conduct regular safety audits and lead incident investigations when necessary. Production Oversight: Monitor workflow, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and implement process improvements to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime. Quality Assurance: Ensure products meet quality standards through regular inspections and coordination with the QA team. Labor Relations: Partner with HR and union representatives to maintain positive labor relations and resolve workforce issues proactively. Training & Development: Support onboarding and cross‑training of employees to build a flexible and skilled workforce. Reporting & Metrics: Track production KPI’s, maintain accurate shift reports, and communicate performance updates to leadership. Must Haves 2+ years of experience as a Production Supervisor in a production or manufacturing environment. In lieu of plant experience, any military or law enforcement background. Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage a team effectively, adapt to changing priorities, and work in a fast‑paced environment. Proficient with time‑keeping software such as Kronos and Microsoft Office products. Must be comfortable working on any shift. Pluses Experience in a union environment. Experience in a manufacturing plant. Experience in the automotive industry. Compensation Base pay: $32.00/hr–$55.00/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and education.
