Position Overview
Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their team in North Carolina. This role is perfect for a professional looking to further their career in accounting and finance within a supportive and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Leverage experience from a public accounting firm to contribute to the team's success.
- Manage bookkeeping tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Process payroll returns, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Prepare and file W-2 and 1099 forms in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Assist with audits and other financial reviews as necessary.
- Provide insightful analysis and recommendations based on financial data.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a public accounting firm.
- Proficiency in bookkeeping and payroll processing.
- Strong understanding of W-2 and 1099 preparation and filing.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial tasks.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with accounting software and tools.
Required Work Hours
Monday through Friday, during standard business hours.

Additional Details
Salary Range: $28.00 - $31.00 per hour
