Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position at an acute care hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D and postpartum experience along with prior travel nursing experience in L&D.

Job Details

• Night shift position with hours from 2:45 AM to 3:15 PM (3x12-hour shifts),
• Labor & Delivery unit within a 103-bed acute care hospital designated as a Level 4 Trauma Teaching Facility,
• Patient care encompasses high-risk pregnancies, vaginal deliveries, forceps/vacuum-assisted deliveries, C-sections, neonatal and newborn care, pain management, postpartum care, and surgical cases,
• Skills utilized include sterile speculum exams, NSTs, OCTs, reflex checks, sterile vaginal exams, and external fetal monitoring (EFM),
• IV placement, medication administration, and intermediate fetal monitoring are required components of practice,
• Charting is performed in Meditech,
• Free on-site parking available,
• Smoke-free facility,

Job Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required - no pending licenses accepted,
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP,
• Intermediate fetal monitoring certification or demonstrated competency required,
• Minimum 2 years of experience in L&D and postpartum nursing required,
• Previous travel nursing experience in L&D is required - no exceptions,
• Proficiency with external fetal monitoring, IV therapy, and medication administration required,

Additional Information

• Royal blue, ceil blue, navy, or white scrubs required,
• Meditech is the primary charting system; Epic experience is preferred but training will be provided during orientation,
