Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, thoroughly evaluating the patient’s psychological and emotional needs alongside any existing medical conditions.

• Design and implement tailored integrated treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices, addressing both psychiatric issues and co-occurring medical conditions.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that foster therapeutic growth, with an emphasis on creating a safe and supportive environment for all participants.

• Collaborate closely with healthcare providers, including physicians and specialists, to coordinate patient care and enhance treatment efficacy.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, helping patients to stabilize and access necessary resources.

• Educate patients regarding the interconnection between mental health and physical well-being, empowering them to take an active role in managing their treatment.

• Maintain rigorous documentation practices in accordance with legal and ethical standards to ensure confidentiality and integrity of patient records.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our mental health therapists work primarily with individuals coping with various challenges, including but not limited to, mental health issues stemming from autoimmune disorders, chronic pain, and substance use disorders. Given the complexity of our patients' conditions, the ability to provide empathy and understanding while employing an integrated therapeutic approach is essential for helping them navigate their recovery journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State is mandatory.

• Strong background in addressing the mental health needs of patients with co-occurring medical conditions is essential.

• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective relationships with patients and team members.

Compensation and Benefits\n
