Renco Health & Rehabilitation Center is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our integrated care team. This full-time role is designed for professionals with a passion for supporting individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. As part of our outpatient practice, you will work remotely in a supportive environment, directly impacting the lives of our clients as they navigate their recovery journey. The compensation package for this position ranges from USD 75,000 to 100,000 annually, in addition to a sign-on bonus.

Work Environment\n

As a remote position within an outpatient office setting, you will enjoy a flexible work schedule designed to enhance work-life balance. Core working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with some evening hours required on a rotating basis to accommodate client appointments. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health status and substance use patterns, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of co-occurring disorders.

• Partner with clients to create tailored treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) techniques.

• Provide both individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on the development of essential coping skills, relapse prevention strategies, and techniques for emotional regulation.
\n
• Coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team, ensuring a seamless integration of services and comprehensive support for each client’s unique needs.
\n
• Engage in regular monitoring of substance use, employing motivational interviewing techniques to reinforce client commitment to their recovery goals.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about the dual relationship between mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the significance of adherence to treatment plans.

• Document treatment progress, therapeutic interventions, and referrals meticulously, in accordance with ethical and legal standards.

• Participate in continuous professional learning and development activities to stay updated on best practices for treating co-occurring disorders.

Your primary focus will be assisting individuals grappling with both mental health and substance use challenges. Clients may range from young adults seeking guidance for anxiety and depression to those struggling with addiction issues. You will play a pivotal role in breaking the cycle of co-occurring disorders by facilitating access to integrated care pathways that promote overall wellness.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New York.

• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapies specifically tailored to co-occurring disorders.

• Solid understanding of the complexities inherent in the interplay between mental health and substance use disorders.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in an interdisciplinary team environment.
