Direct Support Professional (DSP) A Direct Support Professional at Devereux supports individuals in need by ensuring their safety and health while at our day program and assisting them with daily living skills. Positions are located in Pitman, NJ. Salary Starting at $20.42 per hour and increases with education and experience. Benefits Time off benefits starting on day one. Opportunity to engage with an organization that values Servant Leadership principles. Responsibilities Ensure individuals are safe and healthy while attending the day program. Supervise, coach, and assist individuals in achieving their goals for daily living skills, such as food preparation, cooking, cleaning, and shopping. Supervise the planning, implementation, and documentation of programs designed to meet the social, emotional, physical, and personal needs of individuals. Plan and participate in community‑based jobs, volunteer opportunities, and outings for individuals to be involved with. Schedule and transport individuals to and from the day program. Qualifications Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED. Valid non‑provisional driver’s license. Be 18 years of age or older (required). Able to attend ten days of paid onsite orientation on weekdays. Empathetic and able to work as part of a team caring for individuals. Devereux is a drug‑free workplace. Drug screening is required.
