Location: Fort Lee, NJ (100% On-Site) Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 annually Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

A well-established manufacturing and distribution company is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its tenured and collaborative accounting team. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting the month-end close process, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with various accounting functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working in a structured, long-standing accounting environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare and file monthly sales tax returns across multiple jurisdictions
• Assist with accounts payable and cash application processes as needed
• Contribute to ad hoc accounting projects and process improvements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)
• 3–5 years of recent experience as a Staff Accountant
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles
• Ability to adapt and work effectively within established systems and processes
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
