About the Position

Job Title: Radiologic Technologist Profession: Radiology Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday-Friday Hours per Shift: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: ARRT License Required (Registered Radiologic Technologist) California Fluoroscopy License Required CT License Required Certifications: Current CPR card Must-Have: Proficiency in X-ray and CT scans Flexibility to work some holidays as requested Ability to work independently and with a team Description: The radiologic technologist is responsible for performing screening, diagnostic, and/or therapeutic imaging procedures under the supervision of a radiologist. These procedures must be performed in accordance with department and hospital protocols and policies. The radiologic technologist must perform the procedures competently, and these may be performed under personal, direct, or general supervision. This position involves exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissues. The position may require day, evening, and night shift hours and availability for on-call coverage. Job Relationships: This role is directly responsible to the Diagnostic Imaging Manager. Collaboration with medical staff, including radiologists, hospitalists, and emergency room physicians is essential. Close work with department leadership and internal and external customers is expected. Occupational Hazards: Work occurs in a general hospital setting, with potential exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues as well as patients in varying stages of infectious states. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology. Radiologic Technologist Certification from an accredited body and certified by the state of California. Desire to cross-train into other modalities. Preferred: Minimum of an Associate of Science or Associate of Arts Degree or acceptable equivalent experience. Experience with medical PACS/RIS.
