About the Position

Job Title: Radiologic Technologist Profession: Radiology Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Friday-Sunday Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: ARRT License Required Certifications: California Fluoroscopy License Required, CT License Required Must-Have: Must be proficient in X-ray and CT scans. Description: The radiologic technologist is responsible for performing screening, diagnostic, and therapeutic imaging procedures as required in the modalities where the employee is registered and/or licensed. These procedures are to be performed in accordance with department and hospital protocols and policies. The radiologic technologist must perform the procedures competently, and where applicable, independently, as the procedures may be performed under personal, direct, or general supervision. This position will include tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissues. This position may require day, evening, night shift hours, and availability for on-call coverage. Job Relationships: Directly responsible to the Diagnostic Imaging Manager. Works closely with medical staff, including radiologists, hospitalists, and ER physicians. Works closely with hospital district leadership and departments as well as internal and external customers. Occupational Hazards: Works in the general hospital setting. May be exposed to blood, body fluids, or tissues as well as patients in varying stages of infectious states. Qualifications: Required: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology. Radiologic Technologist Certification from an accredited body and certified by the state of California as outlined below: California State Radiologic Technologist License. Registered Radiographer. Desire to cross-train into other modalities. Current CPR card. Preferred: Minimum of an Associate of Science or Associate of Arts Degree in an applicable field or acceptable equivalent experience. Experience with medical PACS/RIS. Experience with electronic health records. Expectations of Employee: Adheres to hospital district policies and procedures.
