Registered Nurse - Telemetry (FT - Night) - Jefferson Abington

Job Details Two 12‑hour shifts from 7PM to 7AM, rotational weekends and holidays. Night shift (7PM–7AM). Location: 1200 Old York Road, Abington, Pennsylvania, United States of America. Job Responsibilities Interact with co‑workers, patients, their family/designated care partner(s), and other staff in a manner consistent with Jefferson values. Integrate evidence‑based practice, clinical expertise, and patient and family preferences into care delivery. Partner with patients and their family/designated care partner(s) to identify learning needs, provide education, and support autonomy. Minimize risk of harm by following established nursing practices and protocols. Use information technology to communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate error, and support ethical decision‑making. Analyze data on care processes, use improvement methods to design, test, and implement changes that enhance quality and safety. Collaborate within nursing and inter‑professional teams, fostering communication, mutual respect, and shared decision‑making. Recognize and respect patients, their family/designated care partner(s), and cultural beliefs, ensuring safe, compassionate care. Create an inclusive environment, demonstrating problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution skills. Pursue continuing professional growth and serve in a preceptor role with staff members. Participate in hospital‑ and practice setting‑based committees, including safety and quality improvement. Give and receive feedback, integrating changes into practice. Qualifications & Experience Education – Required: Specialized Diploma graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Education – Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree (BSN) or completion of BSN or an appropriate advanced degree within 3years of hire. Experience – Preferred: 1 year as an RN in an acute‑care setting. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities – Required: Patient‑and Family‑Centered Practice, cultural awareness, effective communication, partnership with patients/families. Appropriate delegation to team members. Patient assessment, care planning, medication administration and prescription, discharge planning. Proficiency with assessment tools, nursing diagnoses, documentation, and health information systems. Licenses and Certifications BLS – Basic Life Support, American Heart Association.
