Intermediate Assembler – Assembly
Pay: $18–$25/hour (DOE)
A manufacturing facility is seeking an Intermediate Assembler to support the assembly of industrial equipment and components. This role involves working with mechanical components, reading schematics, and utilizing various hand and power tools in a production environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble industrial equipment and components with moderate supervision
- Interpret schematics, general arrangement drawings, and P&ID diagrams
- Install and fit major components using proper tools and techniques
- Operate hoists and lifting equipment to move materials and components
- Perform basic tack welding as needed
- Read tape measure and apply basic shop math
- Complete safety, production, and quality documentation
- Maintain clean and organized work area
- Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement efforts
Requirements:
- 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment
- Experience reading blueprints, schematics, or similar drawings
- Knowledge of hand and power tools
- Experience with rigging, lifting, or crane operation preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills for documentation
Work Environment / Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing, bending, squatting, climbing, and reaching
- Ability to lift and move materials as needed
- Work in hot and cold environments
- Operation of equipment such as cranes, hoists, and welding tools
