Under limited supervision and with minimal technical guidance, this position keeps site machinery and mechanical equipment in good repair. Examines machines to diagnose trouble, dismantles machines, replaces defective parts, reassembles machines and makes necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operations. Fabricates or modifies replacement parts. Come be a part of an exciting journey at Daikin Applied, where innovation and excellence drive our every endeavor!Location: Owatonna, MNShift: NIGHTS 3 x 12s5pm-5am Wed-Fri or 5pm-5am Sun-TueWhat you will do:Performs preventive maintenance on equipmentAdjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments and replaces/repairs defective components or equipmentPerforms work involving programmable logic controllers (PLC's), Variable Frequency Drives (VFD's), Human Interface Modules (HMI's), etc.May have to work with equipment operators to diagnose equipment breakdowns, and to determine root causeTests faulty equipment, performs basic electrical troubleshooting, and applies knowledge of functional operation of electronics and equipment to diagnose the cause of the malfunctionTrains with contractors or outside equipment representatives as neededSubmits purchase order requisitions for partsMaintains records of repairs and work orders completedMoves and sets up workstations/officesTroubleshoots and repairs minor maintenance problems involving facility, electrical, and plumbingParticipates as part of the emergency response team.May assist outside emergency response teamsMay provide work training to less experienced maintenance staffObserves and complies with Company safety procedures at all timesWhat's in it for you:Medical/Dental/Vision coverage, PTO, 401K match, support for community involvement and much moreThe ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growthThe support of an organization that believes it is vital to include and engage diverse people, perspectives, and ideas to achieve our bestMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED.Previous manufacturing experience.Must be able to obtain and maintain a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification.Must be able to obtain and maintain a First Aid certification.Preferred Qualifications:Preferred 2 year education in a related fieldBenefits:Daikin Applied offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:Multiple medical insurance plan options + dental and vision insurance401K retirement plan with employer matchPaid time off and company paid holidaysPaid sick time in accordance with the federal, state and local lawTuition Reimbursement after 6 months of continuous serviceThe typical hourly pay rate for this position ranges from 25.72 - 52.29 in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls.
