Chief Technologist

Job Summary: This position is responsible for all the daily operations of services at the Division, to include coordination of assigned staff (Techs, RNs, PAs etc. ), allocation of resources (personnel and equipment) with the goal of effectively managing and prioritizing patient workflow. Ensures a safe environment with appropriate resources to meet the needs of patients and physicians (Radiologists, Anesthesiologists, PICU MDs). Ensures staff training and proficiency in imaging. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree Preferred Associate’s degree Required 1 year management position Preferred NYSDOH License Radiological Technologist ARRT Registered Radiological Technologist Must be proficient in operating x-ray equipment, pagers, phone etiquette, Microsoft excel, Microsoft word and Microsoft outlook, talent management, midas, EZ time, Epic, PACS, okQA, computer, scanner and printer. Technical Competency and Specialized Skill Knowledge of the principles and procedures of Radiological Technology and the ability to selecting and setting up exposure factors on x-ray equipment, making x-ray exposures and operating fluoroscopy equipment under the supervision of a physician, administering non-intravenous contrast media pursuant to a physician's order, performing quality control tests, and intravascular contrast media injection by individuals DOH certified to administration of contrast media Montefiore Mount Vernon Hospital is an equal employment opportunity employer.
