Commercial Roofing Foreman

Harrisburg, PA Area

$25–$35/hour based on experience
Full-Time | Year-Round Work | Direct Hire

We are hiring an experienced Commercial Roofing Foreman to join an established commercial and industrial roofing contractor serving the Harrisburg and Central Pennsylvania area.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who knows commercial roofing, can lead a crew, understands how a job should be installed from start to finish, and isn't afraid to work alongside the team when needed.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead and supervise commercial roofing crews on installation, replacement, repair and maintenance projects
• Coordinate daily work assignments, manpower, materials and equipment
• Read plans, specifications, details and manufacturer installation requirements
• Perform and oversee proper installation of commercial roofing systems
• Inspect work for quality and make sure projects meet company and manufacturer standards
• Identify roofing problems and determine proper repair methods
• Perform layout, flashing, detail work, penetrations, terminations and other critical roofing components
• Communicate with project managers, superintendents, customers and other trades
• Track job progress and help keep projects on schedule
• Maintain a clean, organized and professional jobsite
• Enforce OSHA requirements, fall protection procedures and company safety standards
• Train and develop less-experienced roofers while maintaining productivity and workmanship

Roofing Experience We're Looking For

Candidates should have strong hands-on commercial roofing experience with several of the following:

• EPDM / Rubber Roofing
• TPO Roofing
• PVC Roofing
• KEE Single-Ply Roofing
• Modified Bitumen
• Built-Up Roofing / BUR
• Roof Coatings / Liquid-Applied Systems
• Standing Seam Metal Roofing
• Architectural Metal Roofing
• Sheet Metal / Flashing / Coping
• Copper Roofing
• Slate Roofing
• Tile Roofing
• Shingle Roofing
• Low-Slope and Steep-Slope Commercial Roofing
• Commercial Roof Repairs and Maintenance

You do not necessarily need to be an expert in every system listed, but you must have substantial commercial roofing experience and be capable of leading experienced roofers in the field.

What We're Looking For

• Previous commercial roofing experience REQUIRED
• Previous Foreman, Lead Roofer or Crew Leader experience strongly preferred
• Ability to independently run a commercial roofing crew
• Strong knowledge of commercial roofing installation and repair
• Ability to identify leaks, roof damage and installation problems
• Ability to read plans, specifications and roofing details
• Knowledge of commercial roofing safety procedures and fall protection
• Ability to properly plan manpower, materials and daily production
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Dependable and able to report to jobsites on time
• Comfortable working outdoors, at heights and in changing weather conditions
• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to travel to commercial jobsites throughout the Harrisburg/Central PA region

Pay

$25–$35 per hour depending on your commercial roofing experience, leadership background and knowledge of roofing systems.

Candidates with strong Foreman experience who can independently run crews and handle multiple commercial roofing systems will be considered toward the top of the range.
