Job Summary

A growing industrial construction and infrastructure organization is seeking a Certified Payroll Specialist for a direct hire opportunity in Fresno, CA. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented payroll compliance professional with strong experience in prevailing wage, certified payroll, California DIR requirements, Davis-Bacon compliance, and project-based subcontractor documentation.

The Certified Payroll Specialist will play a key role in supporting compliance across complex construction projects by reviewing subcontractor payroll reports, preparing certified payroll submissions, coordinating with project teams, and helping reduce compliance risk. Key Responsibilities

- Review subcontractor certified payroll reports for compliance with project requirements and federal, state, and local wage regulations.
- Prepare accurate in-house certified payroll reports using applicable payroll and compliance software.
- Submit certified payroll reports through required compliance platforms, including DIR and LCP Tracker.
- Prepare pre-job compliance documents, including DAS 140 and DAS 142 forms.
- Advise project managers on prevailing wage compliance, subcontractor requirements, and required documentation.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, third-party compliance firms, and internal teams to resolve payroll RFIs, audit findings, and noncompliance issues.

Compensation and Benefits

- Direct hire opportunity.
- Pay range: $28 to $30 per hour.
- Full-time schedule.
- Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Benefits include 401(k), medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and paid time off.
