Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using an array of standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Create tailored treatment plans that address both immediate challenges and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver one-on-one therapeutic interventions that focus on enhancing communication skills, language proficiency, fluency, voice control, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate seamlessly with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop cohesive care strategies.
• Provide education for patients and their families to promote progress outside of clinical sessions.
• Engage in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure the continuation of care throughout each patient's healing journey.
• Maintain precise and prompt documentation adhering to state, federal, and institutional regulations.
• Commit to ongoing professional development through continuing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of employment.
