Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing standardized assessments and keen observational skills.
• Create individualized treatment plans that meet both immediate and long-range communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver customized one-on-one speech therapy targeting communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to formulate unified care strategies.
• Provide education to patients and their families to foster continued progress beyond clinical visits.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring seamless transitions throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation that complies with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Keep abreast of advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been attained.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first month of employment.
