Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Description Saint Luke’s Health System is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse for their Cardiology Wellness Center at the Plaza. The position offers remote work from home one day per week in the Kansas City Metro area, as allowed by clinic need. Candidates must live in the KC Metro area. Responsibilities Answer calls from internal staff, pharmacies, external healthcare providers, and patients. Review normal lab results with patients. Process refill requests. Address patient questions, complaints, and/or concerns. Complete FMLA paperwork and other administrative duties. Assist Medical Assistants with EKGs, rooming patients, monitoring patches and rhythm monitors. Assist Registered Nurses within scope of practice with walk‑in visits and other responsibilities. Screen walk‑in patients and conduct telephone screening protocols. Provide medication or injection education. Assist with procedures, clean wounds, and perform dressing changes. Delegate tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel in accordance with demonstrated competencies and the scope of practice. Cover Medical Assistant job duties as needed. Work in the clinic and remotely according to clinic schedules; no nights or weekends. Flexible scheduling with 8‑ or 10‑hour shift options. Qualifications Licensed Practical Nurse credential. Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross). Less than 1 year of applicable experience. Cardiac knowledge and willingness to learn. Strong customer service, communication, and multi‑tasking skills. Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team. Flexibility to assist the team wherever needed.
