Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical RN

Schedule

12 Hour Shifts, 36 hours guaranteed per week. Every other weekend rotation.

Assignment Details

Length of Contract: 26 weeks, with preference for longer contracts (26-51 weeks). Shift rotations may occur, and compliance documents are due two Thursdays prior to the start date.

Requirements

• AHA BLS certification required at time of submission.
• Active Kansas or multistate nursing license required, no hits allowed.
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Surgical experience required; progressive care/step down experience is a plus.
• Education: ADN or BSN preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred; test-out option available.
• Proof of immunity or vaccination for Hep B, MMR, Varicella, TDaP, Influenza (or exemption), and TB documentation is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a post-surgical setting.
• Assess patient needs and monitor for changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to provide optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families regarding post-operative care and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records.
